Enhancing Mediation Skills Through Online Simulations – Webinar by the National Association for Community Mediation – October 18, 2012 (Conflict Resolution Day)

The National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM) announced today a fresh set of webinars in their ongoing Community Mediation Webinar Series

One of those webinars is “Enhancing Mediation Skills through Online Simulations”, which is described as follows:

This webinar is about Virtual Mediation Lab, an online mediation project sponsored by the ACR Hawaii Chapter. Launched in November 2011, its goal was to show how mediators around the world can practice and improve their mediation skills by participating – with other mediators – in online mediation simulations with Skype. The pilot phase of VML ended successfully on June 2, 2012, after 50 simulations run with 62 mediators from 22 countries.

During this webinar, VML founder and project manager Giuseppe Leone will present the results of the pilot project, as well as what it takes to set-up, run, and manage a training project like VML.

Date and Time: October 18, 2012; 3:30 – 4:15 pm EST

Registration (limited to 25) is FREE for current NAFCM members and $25 for non-members

PLEASE NOTE – We no longer use Skype for our Virtual Mediation Lab online mediation simulations. To learn why, sign up for our 1-hour Introduction to Online Mediation with PC Mac and Mobile Devices. One of the topics we cover during that training is “How to Choose a Video Conferencing Software for Online Mediation”.
